So I Found a Story…

that is worth talking about.
A father of two girls talks about his reasons for not getting his children vaccinated.  I’ve copied the interesting points he makes (far more eloquently than I), but here is the link to the complete story.

At the moment, 3,000 women develop cervical cancer every year and just under 1,000 die from [...]

Hate to Rub It In…

Well, I don’t hate it really.  Well, it may turn out I won’t be rubbing anything in at all…
BUT…I found an article talking about food allergies in children and how they appear to be on the rise.  There has been an 18% increase in children with diagnosed food allergies over the last decade, and this [...]

Gardasil Blog

I came across a blog that is gathering information from readers about the Gardasil shot.  There are many many comments posted by mothers of young girls or the women who received Gardasil and shortly experienced seizures, severe abdominal pain, dysmennorhea, etc.
The blog I found may help give some insight into how serious adverse reactions to [...]

Erin Brokovich and Gardasil

So I was reading about Gardasil and some of the latest news about it.  This one article from the BYU website was about a girl who received the Gardasil vaccine and within a very short amount of time started feeling ill.  Her symptoms are not described in the article.  Erin Brokovich is mentioned later in [...]

Gardasil Gardasil

I know there is a lot of interest in the HPV vaccine by Merck. There is a lot of controversy, and I’ve written a couple blog posts about it, noting the potential side effects. NVIC has a great article they put out a couple years ago, and there are quite a number of [...]

Vaccines and Autism

I’m not going to say a whole lot about the link between vaccines and autism.  There is a lot of evidence out there to support both sides of the argument.  Who is right?  Only the future can tell us that one.
I’ve stated on other posts the reasons why vaccines may not be the best thing [...]

More Gardasil Controversy

I found this story on an Australian news site yesterday.   I found it interesting because it talks about some women who have had side effects from having the Gardasil vaccine.
I put it out there just in case there might be someone you know having side effects of the Gardasil vaccine, that they aren’t alone and [...]

Some Interesting Articles…

Just in a quick search I happen to do about vaccines…I came up with these.
The Medical Time Bomb of Immunization
Should I Vaccinate My Child?
The first one is a bit older, but still has some good information and things to think about.
One of my biggest recommendations about vaccines before you automatically get them for your child [...]

Peanut Vaccine!

Uh…what?
That’s right…we’re creating peanut vaccines now to combat peanut allergies.  That sure does make a lot of sense.
In a recent Newsweek article (cover story), the author wrote about how children’s allergies (particularly food allergies) are on the rise.  One theory that is very prominent about trying to show why this is happening is called the [...]

Other Concerns Regarding Gardasil

Here is another article I found on the concerns regarding the Gardasil vaccine.
The section on the side effects (more towards the end) is particularly interesting.  What the article also talks about is that the vaccine only protects against a couple strains (fairly well), but only reduced the risk of developing precancerous cells by 17%.
Anyway…good stuff.
